Hi Laetitia and the Honda team! I hope you're doing awesomely well. I decided to
0:04
make a short video instead of an email to explain what I want and what I can do
0:08
for Honda. Now what I want to ask is the use of a CRF300L or an Africa Twin, any
0:15
of the adventure bikes, for my YouTube channel and website. Now I've been
0:20
going at it for a year now, just over a year. The YouTube channel is growing quite
0:25
fast it's getting between 25 and 40 000 views per month and the website is up to about 26 000
0:31
page views per month consistently so there is some traffic there and i've had quite a lot of success
0:38
with bike specific videos i bought an xr650l last year for the channel and i made a whole series of
0:44
videos and a playlist you can check it out i sent a link and and i had a lot of positive comments
0:50
and a whole lot of interest in the bike specifically. So I even had people say that they bought the bike as a result of my video
0:58
Now I pasted some of the comments or attached some of the comments I wanted to extract more comments but it just way too many to go through So you can go and have a look at the bike specific videos there Now incidentally my best video is on the CRF300L where I compared it to the KLX the Kawasaki when it was launched
1:16
And that's got more than 67,000 views, and my second best one is on the XR650L with more than 40,000 views
1:23
So the videos with the bikes in it does much better. and how this I think can benefit Honda in South Africa is when people buy bikes
1:33
they love to do research and they love to see that they identify with someone
1:39
else that rides the bike now I've had numerous phone calls and emails and
1:43
comments from people in South Africa that saw the XR650L and they wanted to
1:47
ask for advice or whether it's the right bike for them or what they should look out for and I have two people who actually bought second-hand XR650L's
1:54
because of the channel and we still have contact so I think with something like
1:59
the 300L Africa Twin it could do awesomely well because I know for
2:03
myself as well I do a lot of research before I buy and you look for videos on
2:07
people you can relate to that has the same vehicle or bike and it just gives you a sense of comfort knowing that there someone else out there that you can also chat with and
2:19
ask and there's a community around the bike. So I want to do something similar, a whole series and a power playlist on one of your
2:26
bikes over a couple of weeks. The videos, ideas that I had in mind, I'll have to look at my list here, is first impressions
2:35
does it ride on the tarmac how does it ride in the dirt a walk around and the
2:40
features of the bike specifically and ease of maintenance and working on it
2:46
yourself and a solo camping videos at least two or three of those a
2:51
proper long-term review before I return it five or ten things that I love about
2:56
the bike and is it a good beginner bike and my wife is 163 centimeters five foot
3:04
or something so she's quite short and so I want her to if it's the 300 to to ride it and to see is it a good beginner bike and she
3:14
she not a beginner she rode from Cape Town to Cairo with me on her own bike but anyway she hasn been on her bike for a while so that be a perfect video Then comparisons with its closest rivals
3:26
And this is where I can make a whole series of videos. I've done comparison videos that did quite well without the bikes
3:32
But with the bikes, there's so much more credibility. So, whether it's the Africa Twin, I can compare it to the BMW, the KTM
3:38
And I'm not worried about the positivity because I love Hondas and I know it's awesome bikes
3:42
It will obviously be unbiased but yeah I just love the brand and then the comparison with
3:50
the XR650L because it's in the same stable. So what I want to ask is is it possible to get hold
3:57
of a 300L or the Raleigh I didn't see them on the website anymore but the 300L, the 450L or the
4:04
Africa Twin preferably one of the Africa Twins that was used in the Honda Quest or one of the
4:10
CRFs that was used in the press launch. I don't want a new bike. It'll be better if it's a used bike
4:16
Because I want to use it on the channel. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and or give me a ring
4:22
And I'd love to hear from you. Thank you for watching
